YES Program

Some Year 10 boys and girls have been very fortunate to participate in the YES Program at the Nirimba TAFE. This is a unique experience only offered to our students due to the nature of the Nirimba Education Precinct.

Career opportunities: Carpenter, joiner, roof tiler, plasterer, bricklayer, painter and decorator, floor finisher, refrigeration or air conditioning mechanic, bricklayer, landscaper or plumber.

The students are attending TAFE every Thursday for the term and will be presented with a certificate of completion.

On Fridays a different group of Year 10 students are attending the Retail course which provides the opportunity to learn about working in the retail industry in a variety of retail stores such as specialty stores, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants. Students will gain skills in communication, teamwork, problem solving, initiative, enterprise, planning and organising, self-management, learning and technology.
