Sports Report (Week 8, Term 2)

Sports Report

Netball PremiersHeading towards the end of term sees our MCS and MCCS Competitions enter semi finals in Week 8. Our Year 8 Netball girls finished minor premiers and will be looking to maintain that momentum in pushing for a grand final sport. Our Year 9, 10 and Opens Girls Netball have also made the semi finals which gives us 4 out 5 Netball teams in the semi finals - what a great achievement!

Our Year 9 Soccer team take on Eastwood this week (Week 8) in their 2nd vs 3rd semi final. Both our Under 13's Rugby League teams bowed out in their semi finals last week after a very successful first season of MCS competition together. Our Opens Boys Soccer team needed to win their last game to make the finals but unfortunately could only manage a 1-1 draw. Well done to all our teams throughout Term 2!

Term 3 representative sport trials have begun and will continue over the next few weeks of term. Term 3 sees us enter MCCS Basketball, MCCS Soccer, MCS Touch Football and MCS AFL.

Athletics Carnival

Wednesday 30 May, saw us at our annual College Athletics Carnival. A huge thank you to all staff and students for what was an outstanding day. Thank you to all the parents/caregivers and supporters who came out to cheer on our students. The final points tally was not decided until the final few races with Brady House edging out Locke to claim this year’s trophy. Well done to all competitors, we look forward to seeing our students compete at the next level of Carnivals in Term 3.
