Today, we welcomed back our senior students to the Nirimba Campus, ready to embark on their Preliminary and HSC year. We also had the pleasure of welcoming the newest members of our College community - our Year 7 students, along with their parents, carers, and families. We look forward to supporting you on this journey as the HSC Class of 2030. Year 7 kicked off their first day with a warm welcome from our College Principal and staff, followed by fun activities, a school tour, and learning the College song. They also took part in our traditional Starfish Liturgy, placing their starfish in the sacred space as a symbol of our commitment to caring for one another and the belief that everyone can make a difference.

π« A reminder school zones are back in operation π¨ π Always stay under the 40km/h school zone speed limit and look out for children crossing when driving in a school zone. πΈ π¨ Buses use signs and flashing lights to warn drivers that theyβre picking up or setting own school children, and that there may be children crossing or about to cross the road. By law you must not travel past a bus in the same direction at more than 40km/h while the lights are flashing. This applies whether the bus is stationary or moving. π #school #roadsafety #staysafe #responsible #schofields #nirimba

Students Caitlin, Katie & Tallara at Discover Ag, 2024. "On Wednesday, 26 June 2024, the RAS Education team ran the 2024 Discover Ag STEM Careers Expo. It was a great success, and we want to thank all the exhibitors, students, and teachers who attended the event and made it an exciting, fun-filled day! With over 60 careers across STEM, all linking to agriculture from city to country and everything in between, there was something to spark inspiration for every student." ~ Royal Agricultural Society of NSW

Congratulations to StJPII students Ty, Misri, Caitlin and Kate who graduated from Sydney Zoo's & Dr. Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots program in December 2024. Watched over by the Meerkats, the team learnt and engaged with conservation specialists, including Ty's meeting with Dr Jane Goodall herself. They developed their own conservation idea and explored behind the scenes of Sydney Zoo, learning about the Shark, Koala, Tiger, Chimpanzee and many other areas where they, and we, can make a difference. A huge thank you to their parents for supporting them through various weekend commitments. They are already talking about becoming mentors for the next cohort and we can't wait to see what they do next! You have made our College proud and lived out the message of Laudato Si'. https://www.9news.com.au/national/legendary-conservationist-jane-goodall-graces-taronga-zoo/9c0017a1-2c98-4b67-bf3d-049c362057bd
