🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Our junior girls team took on the All Schools Triathlon, representing with determination and team spirit! Students Isabelle, Jade, and Indiana from Year 8 gave it their all, despite some nerves and equipment challenges. It was Issy’s first open water swim, Jade’s first competitive ride, and Indie’s second triathlon in two days! 💪 With resilience and support for each other, they powered through and are already excited to do it all again next year! On Wednesday 5 March, we celebrated Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent and the launch of Project Compassion for 2025. 🙏 Lent prepares us for the season of Easter, the most important time in the Church’s calendar. By praying, fasting and giving alms, we are reminded of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Jesus brought the promise of hope to all people so that we may “Have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) As we live into that fullness, may we also be challenged to act with love and hope, now and for all future generations.

🏐 Congratulations to Jenna from Year 8 for representing NSW at the Indoor Netball Nationals in Perth last month! She competed against other states in both 6-a-side and 7-a-side games, making it to the semi-finals in 6’s and finishing 4th overall in 7’s – an incredible achievement showing her passion, hard work, and determination!! 🌟👏 What a fantastic effort – we’re so proud of you, Jenna! 💪💙

On Friday 28 February, students attended Round 1 of Public Speaking at St Andrew’s College, Marayong. It was a successful night with 5 of our students making it through to Zone Finals which will be on this Friday (7 March). Last week, our Year 12 College Leaders and SRC attended Lifted Leaders by CYP. Students were able to meet and collaborate with other Year 12 leaders from Catholic schools within the Parramatta Diocese. They participated in conversations of leadership within their schools and giving hope to others.

On Thursday 13 February, Year 12 Dance students travelled into the city to attend the HSC Dance Callbacks workshop and concert. The workshops were run by HSC Markers and Curriculum Development Teachers in the three core areas of the HSC Dance course. Students then watched the 2024 Showcase of exemplary performances in the evening. Students were able to see where their projects are going, and could begin to work towards the excellence shown in the concert.

There is no parking on site. Parking is available on surrounding streets, however please ensure you’re pedestrian safe by crossing main roads at the traffic lights. ⭐️ Enrolment applications can be submitted on the day, provided all documentation has been received. 🎒 Enrolment packs will be available for collection on the day or can be downloaded via the College Website. 📑 Year 7, 2026 enrolment applications close on Wednesday 26 March.

Year 10 SRC students attended the Diocese Project Compassion Launch yesterday, where they collaborated to brainstorm ideas to raise awareness and funds in support of Project Compassion. Bishop Vincent Long shared a story of hope in light of this year’s Jubilee Year of Hope. #ProjectCompassion #CaritasAustralia #FaithInAction

Yesterday Year 8 engineering students completed a class vs. class competition. 🌉🏗👏 Students have been learning about the engineering principles behind bridge design and construction. They then put this learning into practice and competed to design and construct the strongest bridge using just spaghetti and playdough. We had some groups that were very successful and created very strong bridges! The students then evaluated their designs and compared the design features that worked well and what needed improvement.
